Section 2G: How to make FRP Plastics

(name badges, wall/desk clocks, magnets, license plates, license plate frames, picture frames, bag tags, key chains, ornaments, bottle stoppers, door hanger, whole or cut sheet stock)

Temperature: 400°
Time: 45-50 Seconds
Pressure: Medium

1. Prepare your artwork and transfer with consideration to the size and shape of the specific FRP product.
1a Don't forget to remove the protective plastic covering.


2. Spread a teflon sheet (or white paper) on the bottom of the press.


3. Using heat resistant tape, fasten the FRP item(s) in position facing the printed side of the transfer.
4. Lay the FRP face up (transfer, face-down) on the heat press


5. Cover plastic and transfer with teflon sheet (or white paper)


6. Press for 45-50 seconds with medium pressure.
7. Remove the plastic and transfer from the press.
8. Slowly peel the tape and transfer from the plastic.
9. Allow to cool on a clean surface.



Additional notes:
1. If you are using 2 sided items, be sure to allow the plastic to cool to room temperature before pressing to the 2nd side.
2. There are templates available to facilitate sublimation to the Unisub FRP plastic products. They are available to aid with the setting-up of the artwork in addition to placement of the multiple items on the press.
